Deepika started archery at a young age by shooting mangoes and stones. Archery equipment could not be bought, so he made bows and arrows from bamboo. In 2005, he joined Arjun Archery Academy, Kharasawan.

But later in 2006, with the help of his cousin, She joined Tata Archery Academy, Jamshedpur who also trained in this academy. From there, Deepika started her professional archery career with proper costumes and equipment and paid Rs 500 per month.
In the 2006 Archery World Cup in Mexico, he became the second Indian archer to win the PaltonHansda title. At the age of 15, he won the 2009 World Archery Championship held in Utah, USA. At the same tournament, she won another gold medal in the prestigious women’s team event. In 2010, she won two gold medals at the Delhi Commonwealth Games, one in the individual event and one in the women’s relay team event.
